elmey nominated me to post covers of seven books I love - one cover a day for a week. There is to be no explanation or review, just covers. I'm opting out of tagging others!
It's a coming of age story. I love the characters and the writing style. The father of the family is deeply religious. Miracles/unexplained phenomena happen (and drive the plot). Second son Reuben, who narrates, winds up saying 'It happened, make of it what you will.' My take is magical thinking / unexplained phenomena:)
